The Examiner's Focus: Concept Consistency

Examiners reward students who maintain a strong, consistent directorial vision. If you set Macbeth in a WW1 trench, your sound design (artillery) must match your costume design (muddy uniforms). Whether you choose a traditional 11th-century Scottish setting or a modern dystopian concept, every design element must work together to physically manifest Macbeth's psychological decay and the unnatural presence of the Witches.
